WHAT'S LUKE PLUGGING NOW?:

- PLEASE REQUEST "SNOOPY THE DOGG" FOR THE DR. DEMENTO SHOW!

There's a lot of stiff competition out there, both from my comedy music making colleagues, as well as new music from the king himself, "Weird Al" Yankovic! I'm really hoping I can score my third Funny 25 #1 song with "Snoopy The Dogg", and the only way that's going to happen is if my fans let Dr. Demento know they want it to stay on top by requesting it once a week at http://drdemento.com/request . So please help me remain 'top dog' by taking a moment to request "SNOOPY THE DOGG" for "The Dr. Demento Show", and also, please tune into the show at http://drdemento.com/online.html and join in on the fun every week. It's still the best show ever. Thank you. :)

Note: Also, last month "Sneaking Snacks Into The Cinema" by Flat 29, Luke Ski, & Carrie Dahlby was #8 on the Top Ten! Smashing, lads! :D

- "WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC'S NEW ALBUM "ALPOCALYPSE" RELEASED TODAY!

This has nothing directly to do with me, but I figured as a public service to anyone who somehow didn't know, I'd let you know that "Weird Al" Yankovic's 13th full length album "ALPOCALYPSE" was released today in stores and online everywhere. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so I'll just say that it has 12 songs, and it's excellent! There's a CD/DVD Deluxe version that has music videos for 10 of the songs on the album. An 11th video for the lead single of the new album can be viewed now on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss_BmTGv43M So rejoice! After 5 long years, there's a new "Weird Al" album! Woo-hoo! :D

- "IF I COULD BE WEIRD AL" BY MONEYSHOT COSMONAUTS AT THE FUMP!

Spaff has put together a great new tribute track called "If I Could Be Weird Al", to the tune of "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars, which went live on the FuMP dot com today to commemorate the release of "Alpocalypse"! With music by Bob Emmet of Project Sisyphus, the song features vocals by FuMP regulars Robert Lund, Worm Quartet, TV's Kyle, Tom Smith, Carrie Dahlby, Seamonkey, Jared Ringold of Possible Oscar, Devo Spice, Spaff, the great Luke Ski, Jesse Smith, Dr. Pinkerton of the C.O.G., Bill Dant, Steve Goodie, Insane Ian, and Jeff Reuben... AND!... cameo appearances by DR. DEMENTO and "WEIRD AL" HIMSELF!!! Al had this to say about the song: "I'm absolutely honored by this and they have my full approval. Please send along my sincere gratitude to Spaff and the gang!" You can download the track for free right now at http://www.thefump.com

- TWENTY-SIX AND A HALF: A TRIBUTE TO "WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC!

It's the album "Weird Al" Yankovic called his "second favorite album coming out this month"! It's "Twenty-Six And A Half", a new "Weird Al" tribute CD compiled by Austin Aeschliman and Jace McLain. It contains 20 tracks of cover versions and parodies of many of Al's fan favorite songs from the past 35 years, including tracks by MC Chris, MC Frontalot, MC Lars, Devo Spice, Worm Quartet, Steve Goodie, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Raymond & Scum, Insane Ian, TV's Kyle, Dino-Mike, and more. There's even a track by Al's band, titled "Al's Band", detailing their long career with Al. My contribution to this CD is a parody of Al's zydeco "Eddie Vedder" song in tribute to his drummer, webmaster, and all around nice guy, Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz, titled "My Baby's In Love With Jon Bermuda"!

REMINDERS:

- LUKE & CARRIE'S BAD RAPPORT:
Episode #043 – Deservedly Not Nominated

Suddenly, Carrie and Luke found themselves recording a regular episode of their podcast in a pretty regular way at their regular date and time. This was unexpected this week, but it happened nonetheless. Hopefully it will have been worth it in some way. You’ll hear Luke tell tales of cutthroat games of Pictionary, Carrie tells us that the movie “Tree Of Life” sucks and should be avoided at all costs, and you’ll find out which one of our hosts stole things from a business they were paid to protect. Also, Luke bears his soul and for the first time on this podcast goes into detail about the first creative passion of his life, and makes an offer to the listeners to get a chance to experience it for themselves. There’s also News of the Stupid, and comedy tracks by Groucho Marx, George Carlin, Green Jello, and They Might Be Giants. Years from now, when you remember listening to Bad Rapport, will you say to yourself “those were the best days of my life”? Probably not.

- "WE ARE THE FUMP"
Download it now at http://www.thefump.com

This is the 500th song posted at the Funny Music Project. As a way to say thank you to all our devoted fans over the past four plus years, without whose support we wouldn't have made it to this milestone, we present the following song as our gift to you. The song features, in order of appearance: Rob Balder, Tom Smith, Worm Quartet, the great Luke Ski, Raymond and Scum, Robert Lund and Spaff, Power Salad, Carla Ulbrich, Devo Spice, Carrie Dahlby, The Gothsicles, Possible Oscar, TV's Kyle, Seamonkey, Dino-Mike, Insane Ian, Steve Goodie, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Project Sisyphus, Kobi LaCroix, Eric Coleman, Morning Sidekick, Odd Austin, Marc Gunn, Flat 29, Positude, Soggy Potato Chips, Max DeGroot, Beth Kinderman, Feng Shui Ninjas, DJ Particle, Art Paul Schlosser, The Consortium Of Genius, W. Randy Hoffman, Carl Hatmaker, Derwood Bowen, Flibbertigibbet, and Hot Waffles. With this many FuMP stars involved, you can probably easily guess what song this is a parody of. Song idea by Devo Spice. Lyrics by the great Luke Ski. Music, mixing, and mastering by Bob Emmet.

All the proceeds of this song will go to support Heather Kenzie Gunn, newborn daughter of the FuMP's Marc Gunn. She was born with a heart defect and will need several surgeries throughout her life. Keep in mind when I say "all the proceeds", that doesn't amount to very much. So if you love the FuMP and are feeling generous, please go make a donation to help SUPPORT KENZIE: http://marcgunn.com/about/support-kenzie
